Default L92 Extrude Hone

I'm planning on having my L92's castings extrude honed. The CNC'd L92 heads I’ve seen had very little material removed giving credit to the GM engineer that designed these high flowing runners.

For those of you that are not familiar with the extrude process, an abrasive polymer is forced through the runner which simulates the way a gas would flow. The only exception being the abrasive removes obstructions that would impede flow and polishes the runner to a mirror finish. I'm tiring to get some prices for a group buy if theirs any interest.

Has anyone done this and had a set flow checked?

Used to be done alot on long runner intakes. Hand porting usually saw better results, since the porter can make the air move where he wants it to to improve swirl and flow and velocity. the extrude hone just opens the port fairly evenly all around, and that is not normally the best for the job. Also seems to be more expensive than CNC porting. You are looking at about $1000.00 for a set of heads and 700.00 for an intake.

I'm trying to get a group deal for around $750 a set of heads.

CNC vendors, any advantages to Hone vs. CNC? And why please...
