Default Nitrous w/ h/c

I was wondering, do most people after they do their heads and cam swap, REGARDLESS OF THE COMBINATION, throw 100-150 shot on top of it and then tune it, or do they have to have special h/c setups to spray nitrous and benefit them at the same time.. Thinking on doing MS3 with PRC 2.5 5.3's, and a 150 wet shot.. So I was wondering what the proper way to go for Nitrous would be for this combo. Also will be supporting a Fast 90/90 or sheetmetal intake, injectors, ported oil pump, blah blah blah..

Defiantely want to keep fuel upgrades while doing this much power, but we've seen really great results with the ms3, 5.3l heads & some extra bottle! Just make sure you have some extra fuel pump to keep that dude rich! 550+rwhp range definately needs some extra fuel!

Thats random.. I was just going to get ahold of you guys down at Texas Speed to find out the specifics on a setup as such. Now, when you run a car that rich, is it hurting it just putting around on the street to kickdown levels of power on h/c setups, or does that effect the power at all for being rich in fuel?..

The key thing to keep in mind is like Jason said is fuel, also tune as well. Tune it to run on the highest setting that you would go. But when your approaching and exceeding 500+ rwhp thats when LS1's start breaking ****. So most pull back more timing and add extra fuel to be safe. especially with #7 cyl is involved.

Like the others have said, you will need the extra fuel. Something like a racetronix walbro 255 package. 550rwhp is definetely in that range of killing a stock bottom end ls1. You can spend big $$ trying to prevent it, but like blackscreamin said, be generous on the timing retard and A/F ratio. It's cheap insurance (cost of the tune), and will not rob you of an overwhelming amount of power
