Default Rollmaster problem cleared up

If you read my other post on how i was having problems w/ my cam gear fitting the on the cam i got some answers now. I measured my cam (TR227/224), a stock one (98), and a MTI(T1) cam all at 1.565". the Cam gear I recived measured out to be 1.562". Rollmaster sent me the measurments back and the cam is fine at the size it is but the cam gear should be 1.5668" for the cam to fit in the back of the gear. Hope all this will help anyone else that may come into this problem in the future. SDPC is replacing the set for me once their shipmnet arrives from Rollmaster.

Thanks Bob from Rollmaster great customer service.

So far i think i'm the only person that has posted about this problem. you'll be able to know if you test fit your cam gear and cam if your ok the two should go rigth together.

I tested my cam gear about a week ago, I slowly wiggled (getting technical on ya) the cam dowel into the cam gear but didn't do this till it was sitting flush. Is this a good indication that I have proper clearance ?

I got it around the middle of May.

Zero2Sixty: top tell if its propper clearance the face of the cam should fit right up against teh back of the cam gear. sometimes the dowel pin is a little big which sounds like your problem.

I think this is a common problem with the SDPC double chains...

...On mine, I drilled the dowel pin hole out with a drill so the cam could fit into the big sprocket....

I've heard many others did this too..
