Default Oil Change?

Sorry, I didn't really know where to post this, but I figureded you guys would know. I know oil changes are based on RPM not milage, but the general idea is 3 months or 3 k miles. In the last three months I have only driven about 250 miles. I drive pretty hard, but maybe only once a week. I know LS1's come with synthetic oil, but since I put so few miles on it, I just use regular oil. In short, should I change the oil evey 3 months considering everything above. Thanks

Change it once a year in your case. Every 3 months is a rule of thumb given out for a car driven every day, but for a weekend only/pleasure car, changing it every 3 months is overkill. Actually the 3 month rule period is overkill, a car driven every single day but doing low mileage, could really go with 6 months no problem.

Whew, I'll keep changing it at 3,000 miles even though it's a weekend car. At least I'm treating something good in my car.
