Default does ms4 cam have pvc issues?

ive really been wanting to go with the ms4 cam when i build my motor but i keep hearing people say that it has really close pvc. i dont want my motor to blow up cause of this cam, i was going to buy the package that came with the cam from texas speed

It clears but it is tight. Many poeple do not mind, there are a few other cams that are as tight. Bottom line it is all up to you.
If you do get it, make sure you get the right springs and preload the lifters nicely (CAM ONLY AT LEAST 7.425 P-RODS).
Also I would recommend that you degree the cam and check PTVC to make sure.

would i be better off with a little smaller cam like the ms3?

If your gonna build a motor then just get some valve relief in your pistons and run any cam you want with no worries!
