02 LS6 springs in an 01 FBody?
02 LS6 springs in an 01 FBody? I'm thinking about installing one of these 2 Comp Cams:
216 / 220 .525 / .532 114 LSA
212 / 218 .522 / .529 114 LSA
Would the '02 LS6 springs work okay with these cams? Also, do the spring seats need to be changed with the '02 LS6 springs? When I did a search, someone mentioned that you need the '02 seats to get the installed height correct. The rev limiter is going to stay stock, at least for now. I really won't get much by raising it with these cams anyway. The reason I'm thinking about going with the LS6 springs is to keep the valvetrain noise down.

Re: 02 LS6 springs in an 01 FBody? Thanks for the replies guys! After checking the part numbers, I found the 01 and 02 LS1 springs were the same. So I'm assuming the 01 LS1 spring seat will give the same installed height as the 02 LS1/6 valve seal/spring seat combo. If not, it shouldn't be far off. Of course, if the 02 valve seal/seat is cheaper than the 01 valve seal, I may just get it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
