Default No oil pressure after h/c install...help please

we cranked it over with the coils unplugged and then started it up...waited a few seconds and the oil gauge didn't move...tried again and it still didn't move. the engine sounds fine..do you think its the oil sending unit?

not entirely true, and you may not have seated the pickup tube entirely in the pump.

Agreed ^^^ if the sending unit is plugged in I would suspect the o-ring. How did you install the o-ring? There is a lip for the o-ring to sit on, if you pressed it down too far you will not have pressure.
