Smile tfs heads which cam

im going to buy the trick flow 215s when my tax money comes back and was wondering if i should keep the cam i got or buy the t-rex cam . Right now i have thunder racings trak cam and really like it. the specs are 231 234@.050 640int 590ex duration. Would there be a big power difference between the heads. My nova is mostly used on the track and runs 7.40s in the 1/8th weighs 2700lbs all stock motor except cam and headers. I also run a 3500 stall. any suggestions will be appreciated. I want to get my car in th 6s on motor and then spray a 150 max. thanks

SOunds like you run only 1/8 mile. I would get something that uses the "under the curve" power better, but with n2o its a artifical atmosphere so that may not matter that the trex is primarily a top end cam

yeah i would like to keep the trak cam, but ive heard awesome things about the trex. the trak cam is also hard on valve springs because of its extreme ramp.
i havnt seen anyone using the trex with the trickflow heads yet, alot of people are using the vindicator cam.

i will be as soon as i can afford the heads, i love my t-rex but last night i started up a friends new setup with a ls3 and trak cam and it sounded good. i can vouch that the t-rex is a top end cam by far. 1/8 mile you might want to keep with the cam you have and just change springs every season.

You'll need more converter to get it to run better on the motor, with a trex cam it will leave even worse on the motor unless you add more stall.

That, and/or gearing.

i wanted the tighter stall because i plan on spraying the car out of the hole. i might be selling the trak cam soon ,as i hear it is harsh on springs. it has less than 20 passes on it.
