Anyone transfer balance wt to U/D pulley?
Anyone transfer balance wt to U/D pulley? I am going to be installing a powerbond U/D pulley. I was reading the GM shop manual for my 2004 corvette and it talks about the possibiilty that a balance weight was added to my harmonic balancer when the rotating assembly was balanced. THe manual indicates that I need to put the same weight in the same relative position on the replacement harmonic balancer (does not mention a u/d pulley replacement).
Just wondering if anyone else bothers to do this. I am planning on doing it but if no one else does and it does not cause a problem then I might skip it. I don't know for sure that I have a balance weight on the factory pulley.
So, what is everyone doing?
