Default think i should flycut?

i've searched this topic for a couple hours so far this morning and there's a lot of information about it but nobody with my particular setup...i need to hear from the guys that knooow this stuff, i know you're out there!

and sorry for another 'will i need to flycut' thread..

I ordered this from TSP:

PRC stage 2.5 5.3L heads milled to 59cc chambers 2.04"/1.575" Valves
(I need to call about those valves...their drop down box when ordering just heads has the only valve option as 2.02"/1.575"....??) dual spring kit, 7.4" pushrods

Torquer v.2 232/234 .595/.598 112 LSA (don't know if its advanced, sorry...i didn't give them additional instructions on the advance, so whatever it is regularly i guess..)

GM MLS gasket (.051 right?)

So you think I'll need to flycut with the milling job? The lift isn't TOO extreme, but I'm afraid its going to be close..

I would worry more about the duration. Always measure to be sure.

The valves that come with the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3's are 2.02 and 1.575.

I had to flycut with my Torquer V3 as I had little to no clearance on the intake side, that is before I switched to the 228R. We have the same heads, only I am running a .040 Cometic.

Also, even though you already have pushrods, measure for the correct length. I am sure TSP will hook you up if you need to swap them out.

Since I'm running the thicker gasket, do you think I'll be alright?

What pushrods did you use?

Thanks

I am gonna default and say to measure to be sure, its the right thing to do. I used the Comp Magnum pushrods. I got them for $99.00 from Va. Speed. My measured PR length came to 7.350 with preload.

I had to go with 7.5 pushrods on my 59cc heads. Just get some modeling clay and check clearance, and get a pushrod checker while you are at it to make sure they are right. It is only 20 bucks or so.

Call TSP and tell them them to recess the valves in the head. Then your worry free
