torque on arp rod bolts?????

Default torque on arp rod bolts?????

you torque them to the same spec as regular gm rod bolts correct? here is a link to the rod bolts

Its best to use a stretch gauge on rod bolts rather than relying on torque readings.

i understand that but unfortunatly i dont have a streatch guage at this time. so will the factory torque spec work? i think it should but i thought i would let everyone chime in

talk to your local dealer, preferably one your good with. See if they'll let you borrow theirs. have you ever seen or used one? they aren't bad. You set the *'s that you want to stretch and clamp it to the socket extension on the Torque wrench. Then MAKE SURE you don't turn the device OR the extension if you have to move the ratchet back to have room to stretch further. You don't want to throw off the reading. When you first start stretching you set it and clear it so it starts to degree as it turns. Neat little tool~Cole~
