59cc head and scr/dcr info?
i'd really like to use some 59cc heads with a stockish custom cam. i want to bump the compression as much as possible (by using .031 gasket also) as i'm not concerned with ptv using such a small cam. i'm estimating 11.25:1 or so with use of those heads and that gasket. i've been reading where the dcr or whatever would be too high for pump gas? i'm thinking 208/218 on a 116 lsa with .580 lift. what's the problem with high(er) compression engines and tame cams? stock-like idle is a MUST and this being a 99 shortblock i'd rather not spin over 6,500 rpm. use of a ported fast 92 setup is anticipated.

Have you checked that Compression ratio on a compression calculator?
It seems very low...for example I am using 62cc chambers with a .045 gasket and will have an 11.18:1 Static compression ratio and an 8.59 Dynamic compression ratio which is great for the 91 octane pump gas in California.
If I were you I would ask PatrickG to spec a cam. The charge is $25 and you will need all flow numbers, valve sizes, spring info, bore and stroke(if not stock) but you get a custom cam tailored to your needs. He even gave me the reccomended gasket thickness, pushrod length, and what the CRs will be. You really cant beat it.
