Default Truck intake?

I have searched ls1tech and the interent. I have a h/c ls1 in a 87 Trans Am. I don't have the over hang cowl like you 4th gens so it will fit. I am thinking about trying the truck intake to see how the power curve changes. I am also curious to when the truck intake starts to lose breath. If the truck makes a lot more torque "under the curve" and can breath around 6.2k, I might look for one.

You are correct that you will have more torque on the lower end but you are going to give up hp on the top end. I would think your HP will fall off before 6200 rpms

I think you'll get a better response to your question if you make it more clear....

This should be in the external section.

However I have always been curious about this question also. Good luck.
