holy crap (239/251, 0.570", on a 106) is a BIG cam for stock displacement!! hahaha!!
did you measure PtoV?
Cant wait to hear the results!

ps- power peak is generally determined by intake valve closing point in degrees. LSA, duration and advance/retard all determine this.

Cheers,
Chris

I checked PTV clearance- 0.80"and 0.100" intake /exhaust.The pistons were mocked up before and after flycut.
Still working on the tune. I need to get some audio of it -as requested.

I have a similar cam..I have the 228/224 .588 .581 114 from TX Speed and Performance...
I picked up nearly 43rwhp with that cam on my 1998 Z28.
It has a nice lope to it, nothing too loud, it idles fine @ 850...
Peak power is right around 6200 with me shifting @ 6600

I have the 227/224 cam in my C5. Night and day difference over stock. After tuning it idles and drives great. I'm a little disappointed with the numbers it made, but I'm chalking it up to the horrible air temps the day I dyno'd (I'm hoping for another 10-15hp/tq with good temps). The torque curve on the cam is very nice. It make 340+rwtq from 3700-5700. HP peaks at 6500, which is where they quit the run.
