Ive been reading about the rev springs poping out of the blue like that, pull your valve covers and check the springs. sometimes it may be hard to see the crack, find out what cyl is missfiring and push on the springs with the palm of your hand, if one is cracked you will be able to push the valve off the seat a little bit

When I checked the spring the first time, I didn't take the rocker off. When I looked the second time with the rocker off it was still hard to tell until I touched the spring and tried to turn it with my fingers. Then it just came apart.

Do what ne14a6t9 said.

It could be your MAF sensor. If you can create the problem at idle by tapping on the MAF, then that is it. They don't always code when they go. Find someone to swap with you and see if it cures the problem.
