853 casting heads????
853 casting heads???? My frend has an 00' WS6, i knew he had his engine rebuilt because it blew up before, but when i was lookin over his car the other day i saw it had 853 heads on it. My 00 T/A has 241's... what exactly are 853 casting heads?
The 853s are the same cast as a 241 jsut a different casting method. The 853s used a sand casting method where the 241s used wax or something. I forgot what the casting media is but the 241s are jsut smoother thats all. Wouldnt notice much of a difference between the 2.
241s cam on late 2000 engines through 2002 engines. IF you have the 241 heads you also have upgraded rod bolts in your bottom end. I have a late 2000 engine as well.
