Problem Solved! BROKEN REV...
BergerMan,
Yes, I heat cycle them many times before I ever got on 'em.
Jason,
As soon as it starts cooling off down here, I'll see what i can do about getting those times.

What is the installed height on the springs? I know that when we tried to use the standard REV retainers and springs seats, we were VERY close to coil bind with a 0.591 lift XE-R cam. If the springs bind, they will break. We use a WCCC +0.100" retainer and seat.

can somebody explain installed height to me and why it changes for different heads springs? my understanding is it is the distance from the retainer to the seat the spring sits in. why would this change if the retainer and valve are the same unless you milled the seat for the spring? please explain
REV doubles are more expensive then Comp 918s; but that says nothing.
...918s have had numerous failures and I would not trust them....that is why I bought REV doubles...
what are the exact specs of your cam? Are you using the titanium retainers?

Robert,
I'm running the G5X-2 (232/240 .595/.608 112lsa). Yes, I'm using the Ti retainers. The spring broke in 2 places. I am not hard on my car at all. I really think it was just a bad spring.
Thanks to Lou and LG Motorsports, the car is up and running again.
