Default P/V clearance and cam timing adv. relations

I have an XER 238/242 113lsa 113icl cam. My heads are 243's milled .030 and I'm running a .040 cometic gasket. I have my pistons flycut on the intake at .095", but the exhausts aren't flycut. I have plenty of P/V clearance on the intake right now, but the exhaust is VERY close. I'd like to gain some P/V clearance on the intake, up my DCR, and bring the peak power RPM down some. I'm thinking that by using my adjustable timing set and advancing the cam 4* for an icl of 109, I could accomplish all of this. This cam is pretty much the same as a MS3. How much exhaust P/V should I gain by advancing 4*?

You can expect around .007" for each degree you advance. So it will roughly decrease the intake .028" and increase the exhaust the same.

Excellent! That will put me in the range I feel safe with.
