Please make sure you fully seat the seals... If you don't, you risk a chance of seal to retainer interference... NOT a good thing. This really isn't very difficult. The socket will work fine. Just make sure everything is lined up before you use the hammer...

Guys, is there such thing as "setting up oil seals"? I've discovered after installing new seals, that some of them push the top of the valve stem against one side of a guide, you can here that by lightly tapping on the valve stem from 4 directions (if there's no sound, it means seal is pushing stem against guide wall). In some cases valve didn't even fall down under it's own weight. Apparently this misalignment of the seal (not visible nor measurable) will promote valve guide wear?

13mm worked for me. I put a short extension on the socked to help.
I wiggle them on and then tap in place once on for that last little bit.
It's on all the way when the rubber of the seal is seated on the top of the guide.
That said, I put mine on with the heads off. So you can see when it's installed all the way. I put the valve in last......

If you run dual springs is there a small gap between the seals and locators?
