Default 402 up and running, hanging throttle??

Got my 402 fired up for the first time tonite, runs awesome. One problem though only when it is running the throttle will stay at whatever rpm you run it up to and stay there, push back on it and it idles right down. When it is not running it closes just fine, it seems that engine vaccuum is holding it open. it is a 90mm blue max (i think) from vengence racing on a fast 90 intake. Has anybody ran into this before?? Any help would be appriciated.

I had a blue max and it did the same ****. I sent it back and got a UMI and couldn't be happier. Works great!

I think you need your TPS or clean it or try to remove the codes if there is any.

no ses codes, tps is brand new it is a throttle body issue, it hangs up and i can manually push the throttle closed and it idle back down. you can see that it hangs up, funny that it only does it when it is running.

If you disconnect the cable does it still hang? If yes, then the return spring or clearance for the blade or shaft are an issue, if no, then try the TPS reset as it would seem that the TPS is telling the IAC that the Throttle is at 0%

it is not an electrical issue, you can see the throttle stay after you let off the gas and can push it back down to get it to idle. I did a search and the blue maxx tb had issues with this when they first came out (when i got mine) I just now got it running though. I e-mailed ron at vengeance, i am sure he will take care of me.

Does it hang open if the the throttle cable is disconnected ? The reason I'm asking is because the little hole on the throttle body where the round anchor on the end of the throttle cable fits into might be a tad too tight and causing it to stick . It needs to be able to rotate freely . Fast throttle bodies have a reputation for doing the same thing and that seems to be the culprit . My Fast throttle body did this and all I did was take a drill bit that was the next size up from the hole and drill it out and that stopped it from sticking .
