Exclamation Weird sound in the motor.

I have an 2002 Camaro Z28 and i just changed the oil with Mobile 1 10-30W. When I crank the car up it sounds like it has a clatter. After the motor warms up to running temp it kinda goes away but is still there a little. I'm not sure if the oil pump is not getting out enough pressure. Any ideas??? I want to figure this out before something goes wrong. Thanks.

What kind of filter? I assume the noise was not there before you changed the oil?

It did it before i changed the oil. It now has a Mobile 1 filter in it. Once it warms up it stops. sounds like the lifters don't get enough oil. I'm thinking about an ls6 oil pump, alot of people i have read up on put it on, I want to see some more info on it like how much it cost and the install.

my elessjuan did the same thing after an oil change. it's like the engines dislike new oil...i beat the hell out of mine for 25k miles with regular oil changes and had 0 problems with anything engine related.

+1 On Piston slap. And No, its nothing to worry about, just don't beat on it till she's good and warmed up.
