i have a 5.3.. would like to do a z06 cam and ls2 6.0 heads.. i got on ebay and find crap for the cam. anyone know where i could find one pretty cheap/reasonable price? and would that even be worth doing?

 

I have seen them in the for sales here for $50 or so. There was a thread in here not long ago about this. You may want to search it. In a nutshell, that cam will make more power and torque for you but it will be moved up signifigantly in the RPM range. I suspect you have a truck and if you tow at all this will not be good. It also does not pair up well with the added weight of a truck.
BTW, your 5.3 heads are better for your application than LS6 heads. I would just port your 5.3's

 

yea its a truck ext. z71 actually..and i barely do any towing if i do it might be a fourwheeler thats about it..if i do a z06 cam i wont have to back it up with a lil bigger stall will i?and about the heads u figure just port em and prolly put better springs and retainers? and bigger rockers? so far i just have a 160* t-stat and 100 shot zex wet kit and waiting for nelson tune.
