Unhappy Harmonic balancer bolt issues?

Ok my underdrive pulley backed out and couldnt figure out why. So i tried tightening it with no luck . So i backed it out and look out it . Its looks like there is jb weld on it . I called the shoped that installed heads and cam and they said yeah we had some issues with it and we just j b welded it. after throwing up and wanting to go burn the shop down i figured well i will see what i need to do to fix this . So it had a arp bolt in it and i believe the treads are m16 X 2.0 A. should i just run a tap in there and see if that will fix it ? Or heli coil it ? Do the make a tap and or a heli coil that big ? If so where can i get these items at. Its the back 11 threads in the bolt that are totally shot.
What do you guy reccomend I do? Any and all advise will be appreciated?

Is it the bolt, crank, or both that are messed up?

Default i hear ya

Ever time i go and throw blame it get me no where , and the problem still doesnt get fixed i want to trust me . As far a crank and bolt i am sure the crank is having issues at well. It was a arp bolt so if the treads are fucked up on the bolt i am sure the crank threads are shot , but the bolt thread are almost ground off like i ran out of threads or i should say they ran outta of threads or maybe over tightened it? i just really need to know where to get all this stuff at?

You cant really tap the crank, its hardened so its a bitch to try and tap (may brake a tap off in it). The real solution to this problem is a new crank, although I jerry rigged one on my 3.4L a long time ago, ran fine for as long as I had the car but I was worried about it all the time. For a performance engine you dont want to mess around with tapping. Make them buy you a crank and they pay for the labor.

I agree with a new crank. Sounds like they tried to install the pulley with the bolt instead of the correct tool.

I would try the M16X2 thread chaser first to see if the threads are salvageable. Others have tapped the crank, I would personally try that first to fit a helicoil prior to a new crank especially if you are stuck with the bill.

If needed I have a been also making a tap with a drive extension that will let you get the tap inside of the crank, to clean out the threads.

Shoot me a pm if interested.
