Default Advice on cam advance.

OK, before I get flamed I did do a search and read alot. Read the "LS1 how too" also. Sure I could have missed something though.

Doing a swap (5.3 into El Camino) but am doing a couple mods before the motor goes in.

Being cost conscience I picked up a Hot Cam (yes there are better) and new LS2 "green" springs with a timing chain. Possibility of rockers (1.75) and pushrods too.

Looking at the specs for RPM I see the cam is suited better for 2000-6000 and I want to move that down some. So thinking about putting it in 4 degrees advanced to move the torque down some.

This will be a daily driver with the A4 with a shift kit, 3.42 BGN Posi Rear. P&P Stock TB, 3 in high flow exhaust wit either mid headers or GTO manifolds, CA intake and of course a tune

Not interested in the track, I'd rather cut corners

Hoping to see about 350+ RWHP with all this.

Any thoughts on the advance or mods? I think I have most of the easy stuff.

THX
