I'm currently replacing my 98 vette LS1 oil pump with a high-volume LS2 unit. The o-ring that was on the car was gray/brown in color and the new o-ring is blue in color. The new o-ring is noticably larger diameter than the old one. When using the new o-ring the pick-up tube doesn't seem to "snap" into place like it does with the old o-ring. Have you guys run across this? Would you use the old o-ring or new o-ring. The old o-ring as 40k miles on it, if that matters.
