Default Slp 1.85's And Stock Springs???

Before anyone makes a comment... I did search but didn't get a satisfying result.

I will be installing at set of SLP 1.85 Rockers on a 1998 C5. He gave me a set of chromemoly pushords with them but I am concerned with the stock springs and coil bind etc...

I don't want oppinions on the rockers as I am not a big fan of them either, but the customer gets what the customer wants. Just a yes or no answer if stock springs will funstion properly with these rocker arms.

Thanks,
Mike

.495" cam with 1.85 rockers equals almost .540" lift.....stock springs bind at about .525"

you be the judge

SLP says you can bolt them right on, called tech line???
Tried them anyway last night. Bolted on, no problems... I will let the owner know that he should upgrade springs for piece of mind.

Thanks for the answers guys!

i believe stock valves can start floating around 5800 rpm, you must improve / upgrade your springs or your asking for trouble. just my 2 cents.
