And the compression is 180+ cold all around. It runs good so far. Much stronger than before and no blow-by or smoke. It fired right up on the first crank, no knocks, pings or groans. The starter went bad after a few starts and stops,
but it bump starts right away.
I want to put a few hundred miles on it before I get too happy about it. Rebuilding the bottom end while the block is in the car is a first for me. I've done plenty on the stand, but we'll see. I tried to keep everything as clean as possible while honing.

I just re-read my thread after two years. This engine is still running strong after honing and slapping in four used pistons/rods while the engine was still in the car. It burns a little oil when I really get on it, but it still pulls strong two years later.
The car has been N/A since the pistons broke, but I'm planning a new FI build in the near future.
