Very convincing article. He drives home some good points. Controversy tends to sell a lot of magazines though, regardless whether is true or not. I'm not sure what to think.

Seems convincing but... still why would EVERY company would deliberately want you to improperly break-in your engine?

Look at it this way, if you improperly break in the engine, 3-4 years down the road whoever owns the car may break something and maybe they're trying to get more people to come to the dealerships and spend money fixing their improperly broke in motor? I don't see most companies doing that though.
