Default optimum tuning for street

I really want to get the best out of my daily driver. I don't drag it, but I like to know it's available if some honda with a burper exhaust pulls up.
I have a slp lid and smooth bellows and slightly bigger than stock TB.
How do I tune it, I am not looking for absolute every last drop, just a decent increase and know it's "right"
Can somebody who has never worked on computer controlled (meaning me) do this? Who do I call and what do I ask if not?
Help please, You wouldn't a LS1 brother from another mother getting embarassed at a light in his 1999 trans am convertible with and LS1 by some nissan with a muffler that makes it sound like a "singer sewing machine"??
I live in Northern Michigan so if you know who can hook it up and tune it, i would be forever in your debt

Try posting your question in the Tuning and PCM Forum. This is the wrong forum.
