Valve covers: center or perimeter

How do you tell whether the valve covers are center or perimeter? I tried search couldnt find anything.

center have the bolts in the center...perimeter have bolts around the perimeter like an old smallblock/bigblock

just look at your engine.

if you cant see any valvecover bolts then they are centerbolt...if you can see them, they are perimeter bolt.

If you are talking about your 2001 ta, it will have Center bolts, assuming the heads havent been changed which i doubt. either way if its an 04 ls1 out of a gto they will be center bolts as well.
