Loud Tapping from top end of motor, what could be?

Loud Tapping from top end of motor, what could be? Ive got about 1500 miles on my forged ls1 and I came out and started my car and heard a instant "Taptaptap" that is rythymic with the motor. I cant hear it when im driving but i can hear it at idle...
It doesnt sound like a rod/main bearing because its a solid metal tap hard. and it doesnt sound like the ticking from lifters/pushrods/rockers. Anyone had this problem and what it could be? Ive put 200-300 miles on it like this and still havent figured it out, but its very loud and obvious..
