Need help choosing a cam...

I've read a bunch of stickies and other threads about this, and still can't make up my mind. Basically it comes down to me just not being able to decide. lol. And not having the experience in this stuff really necessary to know what I REALLY want.
What I use the car is this. Right now I go to Purdue University, and come home on the weekends. That is mostly when it gets driven. I do go to the track from time to time, and I like doing that. After school gets out I live at home over the summer and drive it more often then. Not quite daily driven since I can't find anything to do o_O. But more often than the school year. haha.
I would like to have a good streetable car still, but also get as much power out of it as I possibly can. Obviously. lol. Anyway, the idle can be a bit rough, I don't care about that. I actually kinda like it like that, but I realize that can be adjusted with idle rpm, etc., so that isn't a huge issue for me. I have a Yank SS3600 in there, so in my opinion the power really only makes a big difference to me above like 3500 or so. From like 3500 to maybe 5000 is pretty important because when I first hit it that is what it needs to get through before it gets to the higher rpms, but it isn't quite as important to me as the top end because I only use it once each time I race. Rather than going through the top end at least twice or maybe 3 times depending on what I'm doing. So above 5000 is very important to me too.
As far as the car itself is concerned, on the intake side of things I have a Shaner ported stock throttle body in there, the stock MAF, and an LS6 intake. That is staying the same for a little while anyway, but might possibly change to a 90/90 combo in the future when I have more money
. On the exhaust side I have Pacesetter LT's into a 2'5 true dual system with an X-pipe and flowmaster single chamber mufflers. Also, like I said before, I have the SS3600 in there too. As of right now my 4l60e is stock, but i am going to attempt to have it built by FLT this summer too, but that might possibly be put off until next summer depending on the money situation. Also, I will be putting an underdrive pulley in there with the cam too.
In my opinion I think somewhere in the upper 220's to the low/mid 230's would be good for duration, and something around a 112 LSA, but beyond that I really can't decide. For pretty good driveablility, an idle that I'm not too worried about, a 3500+ powerband, and the most power I can get while still keeping those other things, what would you suggest I go with?

Something with specs around 232/234 ish at around 590-600 lift would do nicely since you seem to be a highway racer and like you top-end. Also, what is the STR on your stall? It's efficiency can also limit you up top a pretty good bit...
STR on that Yank is 2.5 That makes it tight for the street but Yank builds one of the most efficient conveters going. Great choice!!
For a cam I would go custom. My Predator-Z custom put down 417rwhp/383tq. and has torque like stock down low for when my converter locks. THROUGH CATS
I actually have some other issues to straighten out and may make more when it's all said and done.
