Default Head Bolt problems?

I am doing a LQ4 swap into my 95 Impala. I am placing l92 heads on it, which head bolts am I to use? L92 headbolts or regular ls1 or ls2 headbolts? I ordered ARP headbolts from Scoogin Dickey but they dont work, on the box it states Smallblock Chevy LS6 head bolts. Need help.

why would you order LS1/6 head bolts for an L92 head? i think i found your problem...you might need L92 head bolts for your L92 heads..

I need this same info what head bolts to use when doing Lq4 with L92 heads? You also need this info when buying cam bearings for some reason. Does a Lq4 use the pre 04 bolts and cam bearings? Probably not since you tried ls6 bolts and they didn't work. Did the lq4 bolts change in 04 like the rest of the ls blocks? If so how can you identify what year block you have?

use the bolts for your engine, if you have a 2003 6.0 get the bolts for a 2003 6.0

if you have a 2004 6.0 get the bolts for a 2004 6.0 engine

2003 and older 6.0L = 2 different length bolts and the short 10mm ones
2004 and newer 6.0L = all same length bolts and the short 10mm ones

the stock bolts work fine with the L92 heads, the heads dont matter, ls1,ls2,l92 you need the bolts to match your short block
