Default ls1 to ls6

i know this question has probably been asked a billion times but if you were to swap ls6 heads and cam into your ls1, would u have a ls6 engine? would you have a 405 horsepower engine?.........ok now u can make fun of me for asking such a dumb question

o and more thing. any recommendations to get to 400hp/400tq as a daily driver?
any specific cylinder heads or any specific cam or any specific heads and cam combo and from what company

no,no. look at the sponsor head and cam packages most of them with bolt ons and a tune will get you 400 plus hp.

I'm sure I 'll forget some things but the differences are:

1) Heads (243's) with Sodium filled valves on one side (valve stems are longer than other GM ones due to LS6 cam being smaller in circumfrance)
2) cam
3) Springs (uses the GM 'yellow' beehive springs)
4) Intake (ls6 intake)
5) Block (pretty damn close to the LS1, but has larger bay to bay breathing windows)
6) 85mm MAF

That's what immedaitely comes to mind.

Both are 5.7L so yeah. As long as you get the valvetrain, intake, maf, then tune for it. Yeah I don't see why you wouldn't have 405hp.

You would spend alot less getting better stuff though. The LS1 really had more like ~360HP no the 325-330hp listed in the books. So you really aren't as far behind it as you think.

Hell all I have is bolt-ons and I put 350hp to the wheels.
