Ported Heads - is this ok/normal??

I've seen several ported heads that have this - what is it and how can it not affect it? I know it's a hole that is threaded, but what is that hole for?

It is for the Rocker are.Place some sealant on the bolt and you will be ok.Yes, it is normal for a ported head.

Many shops are afraid to touch that area but if you tell them they can take it all out.
