Default what do yall think

i have a stock 99 TA. i have to replace the lifters from a friend hitting the rev limiter to much. Im gonna replace the cam while there in there. I was thinkin about getting a 222/224 .571"/.571" 114 LSA Comp Cam with some Comp 918s single springs and titanium retainers. And im also gonna get a ported LS6 oil pump. My car is an M6 and it has nothin on it. What do yall think about this setup?? I might get double springs but they have to machine the heads if i do but that depends on how much money im gonna have.

Before doing a 222/224 cam I'd get a 224/224 like the TR224. If your doing the oil pump, might think about doing a new timing set while your in there like the roll master too. As for dual springs, the Comp 987's require machining the heads and the Rev duals don't. The 987's will probably hold up better due to being a bigger spring. To get the most of our you cam headers would be good.
