Default need help!! tsp 408 stroker install

i have a 97 corvette, 408 motor purchased from tsp, and we had to space out the windage tray with 3 washers on one side and two on the other. it feels sort of like the oil pick up tube is hitting the bottom of the pan- i may be hallucenating but when i put it all the way on i hear a very light click sound. is there anyway that the oil pick up tube is too low? i left the windage tray how tsp had it with the spacing but would that be enough to make the oil tube hit?

please help

Are you sure it isn't the crank hitting the windage tray? If I remember right I had to shim mine to get full clearance.

It shouldn't. I've seen several builds where ppl have spaced the windage tray and had no issues with the pickup tube.

it makes that sound when i put the pan on. and its on a vette with that winged oil pan design. ive heard some people say it will be ok and others say that its bad bad bad. spacing that windage tray pushes the oil pickup tube down that much. how tight is the clearance from factory?
