Default BEst Cam

I want a good n/a cam for these mods:

-slp air lid
-LS6 intake
-pacesetter LT's
-pacesetter off road y-pipe
-borla catback

Thanks! I heard something about a 112 or 114 cam...no clue what that is.

Since you are looking at a 112 or 114 cam you probably want something "streetable" and "mild" so look into a 224/224...What are your plans with it daily driver or weekend only?

I would say that you are at a minimum of 4-6 weeks of solid research away from having any clue what you want as far as a cam goes. 112 or 114 is what is called the lsa (lobe seperation angle), and is probably the least significant specification when compared to duration and lift.

My advice, call Patrick G or IM preditorZ and tell them your goals. They will set you up with a good cam.

The most important things to consider when picking a cam is overlap and IVC.

You need to do a lot more research on your cam before you decide what you want. 112 or a 114 wont cut it. You have to decide what you want the car to do. I think you should read the cam sticky then ask any remaining questions you have.

There are a ton of guys on this board that can help you out after that.

Yeah there is a huge amount of info in the cam guide sticky...it takes a while for it to sink in but after reading it and some other intelligent cam posts it starts to all make good sense. Most everyone agrees that a 224/224 is a good choice for a comparatively mild street cam that will make good power, have good manners, and will be a safe choice without doing a lot of research.

Best cam would be a custom cam. Talk to one of the sponsors.
