However, I really wanted a mean sound. You can get some really nice gains cam only on stock heads. LGM is claiming some high numbers with their G5X and G5X-2. MTI obviously has some good products. TSP also knows their stuff (call Jason and talk to him).
BTW, I have been running the GM Grand Am, 239/251 on a 106lsa. I do have ported heads. But, I want something even bigger and meaner.
I will be on fourth cam in a year. Shoot me an email (texanjohn@hotmail.com) if you want. There are a lot of things to consider like: tuning (do you have LS1 Edit or access to it as well as access to a dyno), mostly street or strip, road racing, do you mind a rough idle, etc.
Or to have a HUGE lift is a "cool" thing nowdays
