Default Buying an LQ9

i put out a want ad locally for an LQ4 or an LQ9, and i recieved a response about an engine that had been in a pickup when it caught fire. the pickup burned up pretty bad i guess, and i was just wondering if any parts of the engine (mainly the block) would be salvageable. the guy only wants 50 bucks for it. if that is any constallation
