Default Looking for CAM advice

My TA is finally paid for, time for some real upgrades. I've already done all the easy stuff i.e. full exaust, lid, thermostat, etc now i need some advice on a CAM. fortunately the car is no longer a daily driver.

My real problem is:
1. i want the most bang for my buck but still have it streetable.
2. how much lift will i be able to run before i run into clearance issues with the stock heads

i found this one on thunder racing's site 227/227 .639/.639 116 LSA. Is this more of a cam suited for a car that see's more track time than street?

Thanks in advance for any advice

it depends on what you want to do with the car. we have many custom grinds to suit most needs. let me know more details on the car and i'll do my best to help you get you where you want to be.

Default Cams

You can't go wrong with a Thunder cam. Give them a call. I am very happy with my TR224, however, knowing what I do now I would have had them spec me a custom grind. TR230/224-111 is getting alot of press....again!

Good luck Fella!!!

Thunder has some great cams and great serive, another good place to try is Texas Speed, you cant get much better bang for buck than their head and cam packages.

This one is old and beat down, but really can't be beat IMHO. 224/228 581/581 112+2 advance XE-R cam. Great without heads or with heads, shouldn't be a challenge to tune, great daily driver. I made 39X/375 with it and bolt ons on my 99 Z28 with LS6 intake, 4.10's, Spec 3 clutch, etc. Plenty of people see over 400 rwhp.
