Default tsp 408

I am going to be reenlisting soon and with the money I want to do a 408. My question is, I allready have the PRC 2.5 (5.3) heads on my stock shortblock. Should I spend the extra money and get The TSP 408 with the l92 heads or, buy the 408 shortblock and use my PRC 2.5's. How much power difference will there be between the two. There is 4100 dollars difference between the 2 after I buy l92 intake and matching throttle body. Will it really make that much difference?

I'd just keep your existing heads and understand that you may be able to upgrade later and pick up a few more HP.

I can't see it making more than 20-30 more HP with L92's on a good day, so an extra 4K seems like a waste of money.

If you really want it to shine spend that 4K on a set of ETP heads and a FAST intake instead of L92's and L76 Intake.

i would say definately go witht he l92's except that the problem with them is there is not intake for them yet. so really you should spend the money elsewhere. just make sure when you build your shortblock to make it so the everyhting you have on it will work optimally with everything else. dont piece it together or you will never make the power you want. and a custom spec'd cam is a must due to the many different variables going into your build.
