Default Cam just installed

Just got my car back from cam install TR224/114, pully, springs etc...

Idle is lower for sure, 750 or so. But it used to idle kinda high. Sounds really good. Does not stall at the stop signs, but it close.

Driving it, hmm...not sure it feels any stronger. It kinda bogs of the bottom when i step on it too. I assume this is all normal considering its not been tuned?

SES light went on after about 5 mins.

I will post a before and after idle sound/vid clip in the next few days. And another once i get it tuned.

Once is ok, the reason is becasue you could be either very rich @ WOT or very lean and you dont want the lean one.

i drove my car for 3k miles after I put an MS3 in it and heads.... I did WOT quite often, just wont run optimal, surges, terrible gas mileage. The tune is a night and day difference. Saying it can be done, but I am not condoning it...

Where are you getting it tuned at? I thought Laredo's only dyno shop closed down.

Flashing light means you have a bad misfire. I would get it tuned ASAP.

Blinking means misfire... but I'm not entirely sure it's ONLY fromt he cam. I got the SES code as well after my cam, it was P0300. Random misfire. No blinking. Get a tune, but also go over the other stuff too IMO.

You will experience your SES lite going on and off and generally acting goofy till you get it tuned..after you drive the car a 100 miles or so it will drive a little better but after you get it tuned you will be happy with the performance upgrade.

Have about 30 miles in it since swap. SES light is not flashing, but i had an embarrassing stall backing up! Oh well.

Hmmm. Never heard of the them. What are they charging you for the tune? I got mine at Lethal Performance. Might try Nelson Performance on the truck next.

My car does all the things you've described except for the flashing SES light. It kinda runs like dog **** also. I put my cam in about a month ago (232/236 643/598 112) I'm just blaming it on no tuning, hopefully after it gets tuned I will be a happy camper.

I also probably haven't driven it enough for the computer to do any correcting.
