Question Difference between LS1 and LS7 lifters?

i called summit and said i wanted LS7 lifters for my LS1. they sold me a set of PN: 122490 lifters. When I look up LS7 only lifters the part number 12499225 comes up. Wont both work in my LS1? and What are the differences?? is it worth sending back and getting the LS7 specific lifters?

not sure about the first number you gave, but 12499225 should be used as a replacement for any LS motor now...pretty sure it replaces all the lifters before it. Are you sure your first number is a GM part number?

The part number for each lifter and the part number for a set of them are different.
