You want stiff pushrods and that is better than lighter usually.

Bigger is usually better on pushrods even though they are heavier.

If you could have both lighter and stiffer that would be even better!

I can't add much to this, but I too have seen a lot of failure reports about the Caddy lifters not pumping up.. etc. I know someone locally that had a problem with them, so I definitely wouldn't go that route (unless there is a proven fix/revision)!

I just replaced LS7's with a new set. Had one of the lifters worn flat at cam lobe side. That curved little wheel became straight flat. Only one lifter.

Don't know what's the cause but rockers had shims. It's on a H/C stock LS1 short block.

I could get you a set of the lightest, stiffest pushrods. They are made of a alum metal matrix and you can go down a size in diameter and still retain the same stiffness. If you want a set, I think they start at around $1600.00!!!!!

Agreed. I discussed this with Chase Knight on a visit to Crane Cams in Daytona Beach. He showed me dyno results where fluctuations in torque and horsepower at specific resonant RPMs went away with only a switch to bigger, stiffer pushrods. Chase is sold on using the stiffest pushrods you can fit in the engine.
