Need some advice
I traded my nitrous kit that I had for some prc stage 3 ls6 heads. on TSP website it says that the heads are for big cubic inch combos but all I have is a stock ls1. I sent a pm to Jon at tsp and he told me that the biggest cam that I could probably run would be a 228R without piston modification, so my question is should I keep these heads or should I sell them or trade them for some stage 1.5 or 2.5. also will this combo be close to 400hp?
thanks in advance

The great thing about good heads is that you don't need a huge cam to make good power.
If you have an M6 car, 420+ with those heads and a 228R is probably really close to what you would be seeing, provided you have the supporting intake and exhaust mods.
an A4 would be more like 390-400, with the same supporting mods.
I say go for it. You should be pleased with the results.

Not that they are a bad head its just it isnt good choice for a 346 cid street car. It could be a little sluggish off the line. If you had a chance to trade for equal value you would be better served with stage 2.5 5.3's or stage 1 or 2 ls6 heads.
sorry forgot to mention that the car is a 2000 SS m6 with 53k miles and i will have all the mods to support these heads as far as 90/90 or 92/92 combo, and I have a borla exhaust on it. Do you think ill have a problem with ptv with that 228R? The vehicle only gets driven on the weekends only because i have a company truck for my daily driver so it stays in my garage all the rest of the time
