Valve Lash
I'm talking about on a solid lifter/cam setup. I've heard conflicting things. I've been told that its only necessary to set valve lash every 10,000 miles and I've been told every time after you drive it?? which on is it? BTW The person that told me every 10,000 miles Works at SAM in Houston.. so ya...

Depends on the valvetrain, camshaft, and how it is driven. I have never run a solid on an LS motor, but back in the day i ran a solid in a gen 1 350 that was designed to be relatively low maintenance. It was a low lash solid that only had like .010-.014 lash, and with the roller rockers with jam nuts i really never had to adjust it. I would check it quite often as i was always messing with it, but it never seemed to change, even though i was racing it and turning it 7000+ rpms every chance i had.
