Solid lifters Fixing to install cam. Cam manufacturer says need solid lifter to use to degree cam and to check piston to valve clearance. Who makes solid lifter for LS1 engine and will they let you buy just 2 lifters .

Re: Solid lifters Good luck! I had to do the same thing, but no one would let me borrow and or sell me just 2. My friends father dis-assembled 2 of my old ones and made that work. If I still had them, i would be more than happy to lend them to you, but they got tossed in the garbage by accident when i was done cleaning up after my H/C swap.

Re: Solid lifters Good question, but.... Most folks are just installing these cams dot to dot. The manufacturing techniques the cam companies are using today are insuring the cam is within 1 degree of the cam card spec.
You will find the majority of the Comp Cams for the LS1 are now manufactured with 4 degrees of groung in advance (IE: 114 LSA and 110 IC or 112 LSA with 108 IC) This will get you 4 degrees of advance if just installed dot to dot.
You can degree your cam if you want, but you will find it's right on the money.
