Default stroker estimates...

I'm affraid my motor may need a rebuild. I am thinking of more cubes over a 346. I was wandering what size of cubes would work best with the rest of my set up. (MS3 cam, Ported LS6 heads 307cfm, LS6 intake, 3500 stall and 3.23's) I may also switch to a 90/90 combo later.

So what's the best bang for the buck? and what size should I be looking for?

Also, besides labor, how much ON AVERAGE am i looking to spend on parts and machine labor... pistons, connecting rods, bearings, rings, crank (if needed)

IMO say like a 402 stroker you will need bigger chambers on those heads say like a 225 AFR or 235 TEA heads. IMO you should see like 50 to 100 rwhp with proper setup. TSP has there 402 for about $4000.00 then labor to install would be anywhere from $500.00 to $1000.00 I could be wrong but this is what I think.

If you would like to save some money we can build an engine using your stock block. We would have you send everything in so we can make sure it was not hurt when the engine failed.
There are a few different ways to go about a build. Depending on your budget there are a few different ways to go about things. The most cost effective being that we can reuse your stock crank, recondition your stock rods and install ARP rod bolts and put on a set of forged Wiseco pistons. Generally this type of rebuild would cost anywhere between $2000-$2500 for a fully CNC blueprinted, balanced and assembled engine. It would give you the equivalent to our Stage II 347 that sells for $3689 http://weberracing.net/Engine-Type-G...duct_info.html
That of course would not include the rods. If you wanted to upgrade to a set of H-Beam rods that would be an additional $550, but you can also subtract $175 for degreasing, reconditioning, and installing ARP rod bolts in your factory rods.

If you wanted to go the stroker route with a 383 we can do that as well as complete the whole long block for you. If you would like give me a call and we can go over some options.

Thanks,
Leo
