Lq4 lifters and rockers
Lq4 lifters and rockers Are the stock lq4 lifters and rockers worth reusing? I'm planning a 370ci. turbo build and looking for 650-700 rwhp. Will these be good enough for this build? I'm sure alot of guys use these, so I'd like to hear some input.
They will be fine. How many miles are on the lifters? If the mileage is on the high side and you are gonna have the heads off you may want to put some new stockers in there. I wouldn't pull the heads just to replace lifters though.
The motor has approx. 60k on it.I bought it from a guy for $300 disassembled.The only problem is a cam bearing went bad, not sure if it had spun in there or not.There is discoloration on one of the cam journals,like it had gotten too hot.There is no wear marks on the block,so I hope it's alright.
Is there anything to look for as far as the rockers go?Both rockers and lifters look decent but I'm no mechanic.
